The Founder / Executive Director

Pastor Mrs. Tinuola Odugbemi is the founder and Executive Director of Head High International Organisation, a non governmental, not for profit organisation that champions and advocates the cause of widows, single parents and their children, orphans and children in especially difficult circumstances.
 
In 1999, Pastor Mrs. Odugbemi (Sister Tinu) got the revelation to start encouraging widows – TO LIFT UP THEIR BOWED HEADS – after God led her to study the book of Ruth in the Holy Bible. She started by counseling and meeting the needs iof widows in the Parish where she served as the Pastor in charge of the _*Chapel of His Glory,*_a parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God at Okeafa, Isolo, Lagos in South Western part of Nigeria. She also reached out to widows within her family and neighbourhood. 
 
In 2000, she began to host widows every February 14 to what is now known as the *VALENTINE LOVE FEAST* This, she has done for 21 years with the help of God and organisations, men and women moved by God to assist her. 
 
In 2001, Head High International Organisation began a weekly television program on the Nigerian Televison Authority Channel 7 (now Channel 10). This was tagged HEAD HIGH and aired every Saturday from 9am to 930am. To mark the first anniversary of the television program which had attracted  large viewership, a summit for widows was held at Isolo, Lagos and this led to the formal establishment of Head High International Organisation. 
In 2004, she began writing a weekly column in THE SUN newspaper tagged WINDOW ON WIDOWS which showcased the pains and the plight of widows and their children. 
 
Today, Head High International Organisation has set up a Vocational Centre at Isolo, Lagos where widows, single parents and all women are taught various skills like basic literacy,  basic sewing, fashion design, interior decoration, catering, baking and icing, hat making, bead works, etiquette, basic accounting and bookkeeping, makeup/gele tying, adire/tie and dye, ankara crafts, among many others. 
 
Today, Head High International Organisation has several chapters in 0many States especially in the South West of Nigeria. 
 
Sister Tinu (as she is fondly and widely called) is the Assistant Pastor in Charge of Province overseeing Christian Social Responsibility in Lagos Province 65 in Nigeria. By this, she leads members of her Province to reach out to members of the Church, as well as those in neighbouring communities of the Church to spread true joy to others through health and medical, vocational, feeding, sports and literacy activitie.
She is joyfully married to Elder Olalekan Odugbemi, and God has blessed them with several wonderful children, both biological and spiritual.
 
Sister Tinu is passionate about continuing education. She graduated from the University of Lagos in 1983 with her first degree in Mass Communication, and her Masters degrees in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management; and Measurement and Evaluation, in 1986 and 2009, respectively.
She won the British Chevening Scholarship in 1995 and this took her to the University of Manchester where she also obtained a Masters degree in Education for Primary Health Care (Health Communication). 
 
She is a consultant to many organisations and she serves on the board of several others.
